GREEN INDIA CHALLENGE
1. One day one Crore plantation drive.
2. Planting of 1000 plants per Gram Panchayat to be taken up on the day throughout the state.
3. Planting should be done on 17.02.2021 from 10.00 a.m to 11.00 a.m in all the Gram Panchayats.
4. Mass planting shall start simultaneously throughout the Gram Panchayat with a Siren.
5. Planting of these 1000 plants should be preferably carried out in 3 to 5 places in order to ensure proper monitoring, protection and 100% survival.
6. Scattered planting shall not be taken up under any circumstances.
7. Identification of area for planting and pitting to be completed positively by 12.02.2021.
8. Each Gram Panchayat have to segregate and keep 1000 plants more than 30cms in height ready for planting in the respective nurseries.
9. Plants having height more than 30cms should only be planted.
10. Pit size should not be less than 45cms3 pit.
11. Empty pit should be sufficiently watered on 16.02.2021 evening in view of the seasonal conditions.
12. Persons in-charge of nurseries to be directed not to supply plants less than 30cms in height.
13. In case, the plants of 30Cms height and above are not available in the concerned GP nursery, the same should be mobilized and kept ready by 15.02.2021.
14. The Panchayat Secretary will ensure that required quantities of Chloridine dust, Thimet granules and Fertilizer/Manure is applied at the time of planting.
15. Provide stakes to the plants at the time of planting, wherever required.
16. The Panchayat Secretary shall arrange for proper protection of the plants planted and ensure watering every day for 10 days and thereafter as and when required.
17. The Sarpanch will ensure maximum participation to ensure each individual plants at-least one plant.
18. Forest Department will provide the technical guidance for planting and ensure that the seedlings selected for planting are healthy and more than 30cms in height.
